​

Gerardo Antonio (Gerry) Gonzalez is a commercial/Fine Arts photographer based in San Juan Puerto Rico, who has covered events in the United States, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

 

He completed his studies in photography and Fine Arts at the San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco, California. After obtaining his BFA degree, he moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico to start his practice years under Master Advertising Photographer Jorge Santana.

 

He managed the Governor of Puerto Rico's Photography Department for 7 years and implemented its first Digital Photography Department.

 

His Love for photography started at an early age when his father bought a SLR camera and put it in his hands. He started working as staff photographer for the San Juan City Major right out of high school, a year later he was working as staff photographer for  "TVGuia" magazine shooting tv and theater events and personalities.

 

Now he works as a freelance photographer shooting commercial photography, portraits, and fine arts. His list of past and present clients include; Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Ross, PepsiCo, KFC, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Texaco, GlaxoSmithKline, InnovaCare Health Solutions, MMM HealthCare, Sistema de Salud Menonita, Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, Reichard & Escalera ESQ, Trane, Burson Marsteller, Humana, Young & Rubicam, Capri, Del Alto Foods, MCS, The Lead Group, Bonnet Insurance, The National Guard Association of the U.S. The Southern Governors Association, The American Society of Limnology and Oceanography, Puerto Rico House of Representatives and The Puerto Rico Department of Labor amongst many others.

 

Gerardo's real passion for photography keeps him busy working on numerous personal projects.
